Bio
Hanan Townshend is a New Zealand-born composer based out of Austin, Texas. He has completed several feature films and documentaries working alongside directors such as Drew Xanthopoulos, Nicolas Siegenthaler, Russell Bush and critically-acclaimed director Terrence Malick. His most recent projects include The Tree Of Life and, To The Wonder, Malick’s newest film starring Ben Afflick, Olga Kurylenko & Rachel McAdams.
Hanan has studied at Victoria University (Wellington, NZ) and the University of Texas. His credentials include a Bachelors degree in music composition and a Certificate in audio engineering and music production.
